About Us
New Kensington VFD Ambulance Corps is the Primary 911 emergency medical services provider for the cities of New Kensington and Arnold PA, covering about 5.1 square miles with a population of about 18,000 people. The Ambulance Corps has been in service since 1942, committed to providing the highest quality service to our community. We have a paid staff of EMTs, AEMTs and Paramedics who are ready to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, of which we respond to about 4200 emergency calls a year. We also provide nonemergency transport of patients by ambulance for local hospitals, doctors, clinics, and urgent care centers, of which we have about 1100 nonemergency transports a year. The Ambulance Corps is a Non-Profit 501C service that currently has 5 Advanced Life Support ambulances equipped with Lifepak15 cardiac monitors, Stryker Power Stretchers, Stryker Stair Chairs, with our two frontline ambulances each having Lucas3 automated CPR devices.
